Hart's Rugs & Carpets has been serving the Southern California area as a Designer showroom and purveyor of mid range to ‘high end’ area rugs, carpeting and floor coverings since 1978.
Located in the Costa Mesa/Newport Beach area of southern Orange County, the showroom displays over 2,000 rugs- representing over $6,000,000 of inventory. The designer visiting the Harts facilities will find themselves in the middle of a most delightful and broad array of options and choices for accenting their interior projects. With rugs, carpets, Richard Marshall Olde Boards hard floor covering and even ‘one of a kind’ tapestries, the extensive selection presents a ‘one stop mecca’ for those with serious decorative and design efforts underway.
Hart's Rugs and Carpets was founded by Mark and Phillip Hart in mid 1978, after both had spent a significant amount of time working at the Los Angeles Design Center. Originally from Great Britain, Mark and Phillip bring a mixture of ‘old world’ design and elegance to the contemporary, upscale markets of the Western United States. Their selections reflect the tastes of their clientele… evolved from over 25 years of intensive, ‘one on one’ relationships with some of the top designer's showcase homes in the area.
Not just a large showroom…but a full service firm, Hart's assists designers in matching and coordinating colors, textures and weaves to achieve a balanced and often, striking, interior environment.
After their clients have made their selections, Hart's personnel, many with the firm for over 10 years, provide a ‘full service wrapper’ that includes room layout, site measuring, surface preparation, delivery, installation, cleaning and repair.
In the Fall of 1998, Hart's Rugs and Carpets has grown again, into their new 7,200'+ facility, to accommodate a growing customer base and expanding line of showcase rugs and carpets. Visitors can easily reach this new facility… by staying on the Freeway until they reach the intersection of the 55 and 73 Freeways that border the Costa Mesa and Newport Beach areas.
